Re: POWER9/IBMi bootable USB

Does the IPL process use more than USB 1.0 speed on POWER9? Through POWER8 the IPL and load of LIC was USB 1 only. After that it moved up to the lessor of the port or the device.

It absolutely has to be USB 3.1 capable, and it'll only work on the front-panel USB port...


Once you use the Utility to write the SLIC image to it, you can copy the ISO files for everything else onto it as long as it has room...
