True, although much of the functionality has been moved to other (less
convenient) places. Furthermore, while some of the plumbing is still in
place to keep it running (sort of) over time that plumbing will not be
updated and/or removed, so if you are using it from the old client, it may,
or may not, continue to work.
In the end there were not enough of us using Management Central to it's
potential and I think the effort to replace it would have been significant,
so IBM decided not to pursue it directly. If my understanding is correct
as reported by a Large User Group (LUG) attendee during that discussion ( I
was not there ), the LUG was not as interested in MGTC as it could have been
suggesting instead that IBM put Its development efforts in another
direction.
If sufficient numbers of smaller users rally around a replacement product
I'm guessing IBM would reconsider its position.
