Good luck, it's not there the way you expect.

Adding devices, sure. Removing devices, again sure. Moving them, not so
much.

So to move a SCSI attached tape unit for instance, you, A) use the command
line per Larry's note, or B) remove the device from the one partition, and
add the device to the next partition.

Of course that will cause the system to recreate the tape library and
devices, not to mention changing the names etc.

That's where tape libraries that are fibre attached and virtualized with
VIOS really shine, since they don't need to be moved, they just show up
everywhere. Unfortunately if I remember your configuration I don't know you
have the ability to do that.
