One exception to that rule are data-hungry ODBC applications (one example is data warehousing to a BI platform).  That can clog the pipe pretty quickly.

So there likely won't be any other changes needed for the 10G cards. If you are pushing close to the current Gb connection then it's possible some changes may be in order but even then not likely.
