What is your current line utilization? It's a rare bird that pushes more than 100Mbps on IBM i because our applications and our database are on the same server. We get 'requests' and provide 'results' so bandwidth is generally lightly used.
So there likely won't be any other changes needed for the 10G cards. If you are pushing close to the current Gb connection then it's possible some changes may be in order but even then not likely.

I don't think we even changed anything when we went from 100M to 1G....
We are even going to try the line aggregation to bind 2 10G ports...
