I found an old link which might have been geared to BP's which required the model and serial number to tell you the tier. Of course, it no longer works. But the concept is the same. You need both. Here is a snippet from a currently available system:

Power S914 software tiers for IBM i on model 9009-41A Here are the software tiers:
- The 4-core processor (#EP10, QPRCFEAT EP10) is IBM i software tier P05.
- The 6-core processor (#EP11, QPRCFEAT EP11) is IBM i software tier P10.
- The 8-core processor (#EP12, QPRCFEAT EP12) is IBM i software tier P10.

Perhaps the ?BP? link is currently available from somewhere else. I've never been a BP.

But, as you can clearly see, knowing just the model (like 9009-41A) will not alone tell you the tier.

Folks:

I've asked this before, but never was able to get a concrete answer.

Does anyone know if there is a current list of Power System hardware
models and their associated hardware tier's (P05, P10, etc)?

Our sales staff needs the information so they can quote prices.

I know the information can be displayed with the WRKLICINF command ... but
our sales staff wants to independently look it up based on the system
model.

Thanks!

david
