The alternative to starting each lpar is to ask the HMC to log all ports
into the fabric. That also gets the ports reserved for LPM logged in, so if

So continuing:

Build the VIOS, all four of 'em, no sweat. Update VIOS also very

Now try to build the IBM i partitions. Managing the profile. Has

Windows jump around and size themselves so not all the data fits.

window size and then when you put the cursor on it and click to gain
focus,
bam, it resizes again.
Error messages that for about 2 seconds are valid until you fill in

second WWPN will not go away, you have to bail out of the dialog and

back in to clear.
Things do not save when they should. (even when the explicit "save"
button is pushed.

What would have been done in about 45 minutes in the old interface
has now
taken nearly six hours because this idiotic interface does not work
properly. And that's with IBM i on a SAN. I'd hate to think what
it looks
like with IBM i hosting IBM i. I'm going to find out soon since
I'll be
installing one of those next week.

Hey IBM. Test the )(*&(^&%*&$&$&$%&*() HMC code BEFORE you ship it.
Better yet, give me back the old interface that A) worked, B) was not
confusing as hell, and C) was actually productive......
