Auto start is too easy? Although truthfully many folks don't know you can do it.

In some defense of not doing that, there are auditors out there that will blast autostart for that server.. interestingly enough, he was OK if I explicitly started it in the start up program

My best guess would be that it's trying to start before TCP is ready. What does the joblog show?

If you want to auto-start SSH, what not just set the server to start with TCP/IP?

Subject: STRTCPSVR SERVER(*SSHD),MONMSG MSGID(CPF0000)

I was asked:

STRTCPSVR SERVER(*SSHD)
MONMSG MSGID(CPF0000)

"it works from command line
but not from the startup program"

Any idea what he needs to know about this issue?
