RE: Can't find my tape device anymore

This machine has a 'sister' machine that I can drill down through WRKHDWRSC *STG and take opt 9 next to the storage controller and see its tape drive:

power light showing on the tape device?

When you do a WRKHDWRSC *STG
are you seeing something like this

Only without the final device?
Note those other resources, like CMB04. There's a way to go into SST and
just IPL that card. However with an internal drive like that you have to
ensure that the IOA doesn't also control disk drives or it won't end well
for you with the users.
Actually, I had an LTO1 drive that I had to do this so often I had the
instructions typed up and taped to the tape drive.
