I got myself into a situation with my internal LTO2 drive on my 9407-515.
Between a mixture of DSPTAP commands and SYSREQ 2 the tape device went into a state that I could not vary it on (it always failed). So I decided (right or wrong) to delete the device description and the tape resource and then IPL the box, thinking that it would auto config on the way back up (auto config is on).
After the IPL I had nothing; no DEVD, no tape resource, and even the hardware config printout does not show a tape device. There are no failed or non-reporting resources. No attention lights on the system or tape drive.
Any thoughts on what else I can try?
Scott
