What authority should I have on temporal tables?

Assuming a table and its associated history table. If user JOHNDOE has *CHANGE to the table and updates a row, what permission does JOHNDOE need to the history table? Obviously the user would need *CHANGE to add a row directly to the history table, but since Db2 is handling the insert I'm not sure.
