Well, if I use cut and paste, I lose my clipboard. But if I use SEU
line commands, I can rearrange source to my heart's content and still
maintain my clipboard. Life is grand!

Yeah, I could also use very careful marking and click-and-drag, but my
mice ain't always that precise. :)

As others have noted you can change the default behaviours and

display but while I have many customizations I still use the line
number area because one of the few things SEU was good at was moving

Is there a setting that can be changed so the editor would work more
