FWIW to the discussion related to making the PC look "busy", I've been
using Caffeine from www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/ on my Win7 work laptop to
defeat the ridiculous 10-minute screensaver lock. I work from a home
office and have no kids in the house.

I don't know if that would stop Microsoft from updating Win10. I use
another hack that I think I found on InfoPackets.com that stops Win10 from
updating my personal laptop. It may be the one that Larry mentioned
earlier, but I think the one I used modified the registry.
