VERY little will push the 5899: EXCEPTION is replication. Doesn't matter
MIMIX PowerHA Geomirror or other those guys can stoke the line right to
125 MBps and today's POWER Systems can easily do that. If you do a lot
of big file transfers or heavy web serving with many pictures hosted by
IBM i those can show significant traffic. Mostly we see under FIVE Mbps
for most links.
The 10G stuff is still spendy and remember you CAN bundle together up to
8 5899 ports onto one line with any modern switch. This gives more zip
AND redundancy in one swell foop.
