Paul--

The goodies are, of course, QCPFMSG for CPF messages. I have a stickynote on my PC that reads QRNXMSG.qsys = RPG-ish MSGF.

Any others-- "there oughta be an index."

Subject: What is the easiet way to determine message file library and file in order to WRKMSGD for a specific message

When finding a message id in QSYSOPR, QHST, or joblog,
What is the easiest way to find the library/message file that contains the specific message id?
The message file library and message file name are not stored anywhere in the message.

I constantly find myself manually searching all libraries and message files, to find the desired message.
3rd party products are the worst.

WRKMSGF MSGF(*ALL/*ALL)
