Arco,

What you are looking for is here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/db2/

There is already built in support for DB2.

I think you want to be looking under the "Common Data Service" section: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/connections-list

We use Microsoft's DB2 connector in Power BI and it works pretty good.

Obviously your going to need to setup the onpremise data gateway so the cloud service can communicate with your IBMi.

Matt

Subject: Re: IBM i as datasource for MS PowerApps

No not forms. A user group in our company has developed a powerapp for mobile usage, making use of datasources such as SharePoint lists.
But part of the data comes from the IBM i, and they do now export that in an obscure way. I'd like to bring in the IBM i data directly for their app.

In my testing so far I found the standard connectors provided by MS not suitable, and am now on the route to create custom connectors against a REST API on our IBM i, and that looks promising so far..

-Arco
