We have removed the exit program. The results indicate that for current active jobs that remain active response time is unchanged (90 seconds). Sign off and back on and response time returns to normal (2 seconds).

Batch jobs are working the same way, new ones=quick, exiting long running jobs, not.

I've never needed an IPL to remove an exit program, but I've never worked

Subject: RMVEXITPGM needs an IPL??

I am being told by a vendor that removing their exit program requires an
IPL before it will be effictive. Specifically the exit point is
QIBM_QDB_OPEN. Their exit programs were updated over the weekend but
appear to be 'hampering performance'.

I have never heard that RMVEXITPGM requires an IPL. It is not documented
so.

Toughts?
