I would use opendir and readdir to sum up the sizes of the contents of the
folder. I think the stat api will tell you if a file is a symbolic link.

d pDir s *
d pDirEnt s *
D DirEnt ds based(pDirEnt)
d likeds(refDirEnt)
d curSflRrn s 10i 0
d fileName s 256a varying
/free
*in32 = '0' ;
curSflRrn = 0 ;
pDir = opendir( InDirPath ) ;
dow '1' = '1' ;
pDirEnt = readdir(pDir) ;
if pDirEnt = *null ;
leave ;
endif ;

fileName = %subst(dirent.name:1:dirent.nameLx) ;
if fileName = '.' or filename = '..' ;
iter ;
endif;

enddo ;

What's the easiest way to get the size of an IFS directory, excluding
symlinks?

(I don't know if/when symlinks are included. I just want to make sure.)
