You mentioned that you downloaded the IBM JDK 8. Where did you get it? When I tried to find it, this page https://developer.ibm.com/javasdk/downloads/sdk8/ says I need to go to the IBM Eclipse Install page which then directs me to this page for Windows on Intel https://www-01.ibm.com/marketing/iwm/iwm/web/pickUrxNew.do?source=idpe. Looking at the versions listed, nothing says JDK 8. I tried the one labeled, win64-520 and that ended up containing version 7.
