Hi,

RabbitMQ supports the STOMP protocol. You can use the RPG STOMP client at https://bitbucket.org/m1hael/stomp to send and receive messages.

The weather project at https://bitbucket.org/m1hael/weather covers exactly your case : sending and receiving message to/from a RabbitMQ instance.

And the best thing is: It is all RPG and it perfectly integrates in your ILE environment.

Best regards

Mihael

we are implementing message queues on our windows/linux stack. we are 90%
sure it will be RabbitMQ... what will it take for us to receive and
send messages from RPGLE programs to the windows/linux stack RabbitMQ
manager?

will we just need a custom listener/sender program?
will we just need the IBM MQ client?
will we need the full WebSphereMQ package on the IBMi?
