I get you can do all that stuff, but it occurs to me that you might be too
clever by half.

Anything you do it cause the 0:dark30 recovery processes to be obscured,
since you will not always be the one doing it (you might not be available
for any one of a number of reasons.....) just causes the problem to be
bigger than it has to be.

As to the console device, in the end who cares, it's DSP01 in 80% of the
cases, but I've seen them hardcoded and just plain different. Although if
you have BRMS or Robot/Save, changing the name of the console becomes
problematic.....

Also right up there is IBM saying that the name of your system can include
letters, numbers, and $,#,@ characters. We included one of the special
characters, much to the amusement (!) of assorted IBM techs trying to debug
problems over the years!
