Last weekend, the 14 of July, we applied all the latest and greatest group ptf's available. Since then we have been having many problems with SQL queries, imbedded in RPG as well as remote connections from our WebSphere applications. Looking at what is available today for V7R1 all I see is a new group for DB2 Web Query for I V2.2.1. (We do not run web query.) And one for TCP/IP. I will be downloading and applying tonight.

Does anyone know of a PTF for SQL performance issues? One program changed the SQL statement layout and re-compiled. That program is now fixed. The only PTF's put on the system on the 14 were JAVA related as the rest were current the week before. Last month we finally upgraded from V6R1 to V7R1 so all of the programs were created under V6R1. Should all of our stored procedures and SQLRPGLE be re-created, (compiled)?

I also found out that when on extended support, put in an order to upgrade to the new OS prior to the upgrade as we currently are not support. I just learned that Extended OS support is for one version, not any upgrades. Fun being stuck at still an unsupported version. (Damn hardware restrictions.)

But at least now I will be able to straight to V7R3, I think. (More research to see if any other hardware on our Power 7 is unsupported.)
