Currently have two classes of users- end users and developers.
End users run with limited functionality (predefined SSL connectivity, 5250
sessions, printer output) from shared central location. Remote jvm, remote
config, remote product, local footprint is two shortcuts and the install
log.Some complaints about the startup time from remote locations since
everything goes down the wire, but increased bandwidth is supposed to be
happening soon.
Developers get the full ACS client installed locally.
May need to create a third class of users with file transfer and IFS
access, but that's a small subset of the general end user class. And we may
opt to provide data extraction via applications rather than IBM utilities.
