I have a friend who wants to be able to issue the OS/400 TELNET command
from a 5250 session (TN5250) to connect to their IBM mainframe OS/390
system.
According to the help text for the TELNET command, it seems this should be
possible? But so far, all attempts have yielded only:
Connected ...
followed a few seconds later by:
Connection ended.
Pressing F10 to see the detailed messages in the job log is unrevealing.
Anyone ever done this successfully? If so, can you share any tips, tricks
or hints? Thanks in advance.
