We have installed a 9009-41A with a new 7063-CR1 HMC. Whenever I run a system save out of BRMS, then come in the next morning I can connect to the re-IPLed system with a normal 5250 emulation session. When I connect to the HMC console, however, we get the following screens:

* Welcome to Remote 5250 Console, Language selection

* Remote 5250 Console Sign on, asks for User ID/Password to the HMC

* Remote 5250 Console System Selection, we pick the new system

* Remote 5250 Console Partition Selection, we connect shared to the one partition

* Remote 5250 Console Session Key, we enter the new session name twice

* Dedicated Service Tools (DST) Sign On

This last screen is something we did not get with our old system/HMC. It gives us the ability to either login with a Service tools user account or Bypass. If we Bypass, the system re-IPLs again. This DST sign on happens even if there is already an active console session.

Is there a way to configure the system so I don't have to see this screen or hand out DST accounts to everyone who wants to connect to the console? I want the console to be the console, not an open invitation for everyone to Re-IPL the system because they are stymied by a sign on. It seems IBM is wanting to prevent users from taking over a session. That's the whole point of shared sessions, we do want them open to taking over. Even knowing what IBM calls this feature would help me look up an answer.
