Too bad too many third party vendors like to make you talk to Smiling Bob
the salesman to get anything done. And most of them will only
begrudgingly give you even a temp key before the hardware is up and live.
"You just have to run our whiz bang API to determine your serial number,
processor, processor count, lpar number, and any other possible metric we
can charge you extra for." Of course when the new system doesn't have a
single (IBM i) disk drive in it because you plan on using them from the
old system it gets a little tough to do in advance.
"Can I run that on my HMC?" <...silence...>
