RE: invalid password and QZRCSRVS -- MIDRANGE-L

Well, the user just called and said they had been away from desk and lost their last active session.
So I had them power off their pc(imaged machine). As soon as they did, the errors stopped. They were able to start back up and log back in.

Really weird.

I didn't want to try that earlier, because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get them back on at all.

Thanks and I appreciate all the help from the list on this and all other issues I've had.

No, in general a 5250 session would not be using these. However I am seeing some weird stuff like User ROB from client 127.0.0.1 connected to server.
in the joblog for one QZRCSRVS job here.
Actually WRKOBJLCK ROB *USRPRF shows three of these jobs and they all say I'm coming from the local loopback address.

I don't know the answer to that, since I don't know where it is coming
from.

Maybe a better question to start with is the basic premise of QZRCSRVS
jobs.

My basic understanding is that these would be generated from connections
coming from things like Ipads, Scan stations, etc.

I should not be seeing this for green screen 5250 sessions.

Is that a fair assumption?

Do you know if that connection uses SSL? If not it's quite easy to use
STRCMNTRC or STRSST to monitor the comm and see what password they are
sending you.
