Ladies and Gentlemen:
A little over 5 years ago, Brad Stone posted a query about IFS journaling
causing Java I/O problems.
https://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/201301/msg01421.html
The top of the stacktrace looked like this:
java.io.IOException: The specified device does not exist.
at sun.nio.ch.FileChannelImpl.map0(Native Method)
at sun.nio.ch.FileChannelImpl.map(FileChannelImpl.java:791)
There doesn't appear to have been any List response to that query, and
now, I've got a couple of customer boxes that are throwing similar
exceptions. Do we know anything now that we didn't know then?
At this point, I know precisely nothing about IFS journaling. I don't even
know how to determine whether an IFS directory IS journaled. Can somebody
point me to the docs.
