Nadir,
I took your advice and brought HTTP up to level 53 for PTF's.
Having removed Java 6 and restarting the system brought
everything to at least Java 7 (home) and those that we forced to Java 8
as expected.
Then I got a little curious and put Java 6 back on, reapplied PTFs
and restarted the system. The service monitor went back to 6!
Everything else stayed the same (7&8) and ADMIN3 went away.
Interesting but not fatal I suppose.

Ensure you load the latest HTTP group PTF. This ensures that things like
ARE, Admin servers, etc. will have no problem. Previously they relied on
Java 6, buy have been upgraded to run on Java 7 and in some cases even
Java 8.
If you have integrated application servers, then you are able to change
the JRE used from the Web Administration GUI. Integrated web services
servers are automatically taken care of to run on the correct JRE.
