Hi,

I'm having trouble getting access to the optical drive on a guested v7r1 IBM i partition that is hosted by a v7r3 partition.
I believe it's controlled by the Network Storage Device (NWSD) created and managed on the host for use by the guest,
but I can't seem to get it straight.

I've read (in IBM manual) that the Optical drive and optical drive in the host partition must be varied on for the client to get to it.
But it doesn't seem to matter.
I can't do a DSPOPT from either partition and see the contents.

All I get is "Optical device OPT01 is empty".
Is that what I would get if the DVD itself is bad?
