As the previous owner of QSYSINC I can safely say that is NOT supposed to happen. There is no reason for the removal of fields (which is not the same as saying the fields may no longer be used).

Folks:

How often have you run into changes to the data structures in
QSYSINC/QRPGLESRC, that causes existing code to fail to compile, and
what is the best way to rectify the situation?

I just ran into a situation where one of the structures for the
QSQGNDDL api changed and a program no longer compiles due to missing fields.

It last compiled on 7.1 without a problem.

Luckily, for this particular API, there is an official UDF that
provides the desired functionality ... but I'm kind of concerned that
this might happen with other API's that there isn't an alternative for.

Thanks!
