You can try opening it in a text editor such as Textpad or Notepad++ - especially if you can open it in binary mode.

You could open it on the IBM i with a 5 using WRKLNK - see what the first few characters are - if PK, then you can do a couple things - change the extension (or add to the extension) to .zip = then use something like 7-zip or winzip or even Windows Explorer.

noting inside it - it is 40MB.

Does anyone know what zip format is being used or how I could look at the
contents ?
