Re: System locked up, and I can't find anything to indicate why.

In a case this serious I would always call IBM, providing you have
support. In fact, I would have called IBM BEFORE initiating "drastic
measures". They may have requested a core dump. This is something you
can initiate right away and take the time later to send the data in after
making the system ready for use. I recently had an incident in which I
was (rightly so) politely chided by IBM for not doing so, as it was an
issue which affected other customers but we all kept initiating drastic
measures to get around it. It hit me again within a week on a different
lpar. They got their data that time.
