Good News Everybody!

A new search engine is coming soon.

As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

You are right, those are there for air flow. DO NOT REMOVE THEM! Warranty
would be voided.

IBM put them in there on purpose.

The 4 fans run at full speed during startup. They sound like jet engines
during takeoff. But it's not as loud as our Power 7 server.

There is a bulky clear-plastic structure inside the case. It shows up in one
of the photos that I posted. It seems that it would restrict air flow inside
the case. It's easily removable. I wondered if it was just put there for
shipment over rough roads. But I didn't find any instructions to remove it
before running the system. So I just left it in.

Should I be concerned about it restricting air flow inside the box?
