Paul,

He's really going to want to know why do steps 7&8. You left out step 9:
Do the backup you plan on restoring from on your new P8. Otherwise, why
delete stuff after you've already done the backup you plan on restoring
from.

Some might move step 5 to the end.
I would. But I'm reasonably comfortable with PTF's. Worst case, I could
IPL from media, slip the lic and be ready to go. Can't see as how you
would lose data. Well, ok Murphy, don't take that as a challenge...
