Subject: IBM dates

Just got an email from IBM. Subject is "15 Days Left to Renew".

Time is running out for you to renew your Software Subscription and
Support. ...

If we do not hear from you or your authorized IBM Business Partner by
01-January-2007...

Is there something different about IBM dates vs ISO dates? Because to me
this looks like it is eleven years (and change) late.
Now, it did come from someone @us.ibm.com. The name seems to be of
Chinese descent so I thought it might have something to do with Chinese
dates. Although I'm culturally ignorant of their dates I do seem to
recall they have a different date system.
