These are the PTFs you MUST have to upgrade from V7R1 to V7R2.

We're about to upgrade a utility partition from 7.1 to 7.3. We've loaded the last V7R1 cumulative PTFs, all of the group PTFs, and the 'upgrade' PTFs. They're all applied *PERM. Except one on the 'upgrade' list that got missed.

We upgraded 2 other LPARs about a year ago. We still have the 3 manuals in the other Paul's list, with our notes, highlights, and sticky notes. Those notes &c were the result of hours of review, checking, sending messages to software vendors to get their patched code, updating applications, reviewing the Notices to Users (both of them) for things that have changed, and have been omitted.

All of the preparation made the actual upgrade a very 'easy' afternoon!
