This was production LPAR, last V7R1 lpar to upgrade to V7R3..
The problem that exists was not able to be tested on R&D LPAR, urgh.

I think the best plan is recovery from your initial back up. Many objects were upgraded to V7R3 (many of them in *ALLUSR libraries) and I don't think it's possible to roll them back. So even if you replace all the IBM i LPPs with V7R1 code again, I'll bet on significant problems.

I think you said this wat he test system, or did that go well and your stuck in production now?

We just upgraded from V7R1 to V7R3.
3rd party application that uses RPC is failing.
Multiple attempts to resolve unsuccessful.

I need a V7R3 to V7R1 rollback plan.

Either

1) Restore system files only from V7R1 save before upgrade.
2) Reinstall from a V7R1 DSLO image (dated)
3) Other

Anyone ever do a rollback and have any history notes for reference?
