Yep Memory Stick, RDX Drive, Image on HMC, Network image from existing
server, Tape drive, Pre-configured, all options.
Optical drives in my observation over the life of the server are used
either 0 times, 1 time, and in a few rare cases still used to update
third party software. However even if they are still sending them you
can convert to ISO and use image catalogue.
