The “H” systems are targeted for SAP HANA and only support 25% of the

The “S” systems are basically same T&Cs as their POWER8 counterparts.
S924-S824, S922-S922, S914-S814.

As expected POWER9 requires 7.2/7.3 with latest TR release. NO v7r1
support.

No performance data(CPW/rPerf) numbers yet but IBM says to expect 1.5x
performance of POWER8

Initial review is showing POWER9 list price a bit higher than a comparable
POWER8 but price/performance should still be better.

Subject: RE: P9 Announcement day

Read deep into the announcements. Several of these boxes Require SAP HANA
as the primary OS, and the IBM i P group is 20. IBM i and AIX are limited
to 25% of the total machine.

These will need some serious review to understand exactly what's in store
for IBM i .
