RE: New RFE request - ADDPFTRG / RMVPFTRG while file is in use

Kevin,

A few things.

I'm not finding those instructions in the cover letter.
Can I simply add ALLOW_DDL_CHANGES_WHILE_OPEN to QSYS/QAQQINI?
We've never changed or added to this QSYS/QAQQINI file to the best of my knowledge.
We are not using SQL, so does the QSYS/QAQQINI file still apply?

2. Sign on
3. Copy (CRTDUPOBJ) the system QAQQINI file from QSYS to QUSRSYS if you want this to apply globally or a library somewhere 4. Use SQL to either update or add the ALLOW_DDL_CHANGES_WHILE_OPEN row to have the value *YES (our 720 one in QSYS doesn't have the row FWIW) 5. Set the library you placed the copy of QAQQINI to be the job's query options file library if not making it global via CHGQRYA command.
6. ADDPFTRG or CHGPFTRG the file
7. Profit?

At V7R3, PTF 65523 applied, which supersedes SI61252.
Still receiving the same CPF3202 in use error.
I saw this in the cover letter, but not sure where and how if I need to set this.

After this change is applied, the ADDPFTRG and CHGPFTRG commands can be used immediately after changing the ALLOW_DDL_CHANGES_WHILE_OPEN QAQQINI option to '*YES'.
