Thanks Rob. I'm going to get rid of a bunch of these. Like all of them
except for the 2, :)

No. They will still be there. Try DLTPTF. This will clear up what you
are looking at.

The long answer:
Let's say you put PTF SI12345 on. And SI12345 was in QSI12345. Let's say
SI12345 fixed QCMDEXC. First thing it does is back up the old version of
QCMDEXC to QSI12345V1 or some such thing. Then it restores the new
version of QCMDEXC from QSI12345. If you do a RMVPTF it will restore the
old version from QSI12345V1. When you apply it permanently it removes
QSI12345V1 but leaves QSI12345.

I tend to favor image catalogs...

Prompt DLTPTF. You'll figure it out nicely.

If you have your PTF's all permanently applied,
and you have ran the DLTPTF,
and you still have some left over,
you probably have some manual cleanup to do from earlier releases and
stuff from forgetting to apply those permanently before upgrading.

Subject: PTF save files - why still there?
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

All,

V7R1

Between QMF*, QSF*, and QSI* I have 5,340 PTF save files in QGPL.

Sample line from STRPDM:

QSI65939 *FILE SAVF PTF 5770DG1-SI65939 V7R1M0

All PTFs, save 2 of them, are applied permanently. Why are these save
files still there? Shouldn't they have been deleted automatically?

Thanks.
