PTF save files - why still there? -- MIDRANGE-L

Between QMF*, QSF*, and QSI* I have 5,340 PTF save files in QGPL.

Sample line from STRPDM:

QSI65939 *FILE SAVF PTF 5770DG1-SI65939 V7R1M0

All PTFs, save 2 of them, are applied permanently. Why are these save
files still there? Shouldn't they have been deleted automatically?
