And, if your table has multiple members (aka partitions), you may need to
use syspartitionstat.

Yes SQL supports multiple members. Even without using ALIAS or OVRDBF.
But it requires a wagonload of money and DB2 multisystem. I submitted an
RFE to unbundle the multiple partition support out of DB2 multisystem and
it was declined. Last I heard the price was in the neighborhood of the OS
and a few other choice LPP's combined.
