So the new drive arrived and I discovered that, quite to my surprise, my
last attempt to start the partition must have worked because the
partition is running! When I start SST and take a look at the
configuration, I see 4 drives:
Serial Resource Hot Spare
ASP Unit Number Type Model Name Status Protection
1 Mirrored
1* YWEB5KZWKZRX 6B22 050 DD004 Suspended N
1 Y9EJAR7L8YMZ 6B22 050 DD003 Active N
2 Y384SV9UX3VE 6B22 050 DD001 Active N
2 YJA2X8PBPAUR 6B22 050 DD002 2 % Resumed N
The first one on the list, DD004 shows suspended and the asterisk I
think is showing that the disk is missing from the configuration. It
has been a while since I have worked with disk configurations, how do I
add that drive to the configuration? I am not sure but I think the IVM
is involved before the IBM i partition can see it...
Been a long time since this BC-S was configured....
