Paul,
That is a practice that may come back to bite you in the future.
I have several clients that have done that and when they are interested in
trying a new LPP (example, Option 42 HA journal performance or even PT1
performance tools) they can't do it because it got installed with the
system. Also, any LPP you don't have a license for shouldn't be installed
(since it won't work anyways after the trial period). I always try to find
all the no-charge LPPs and install them (the OPS for example, even if they
don't use anything right now, better to have the tools installed).

Decades ago, I only installed what I thought we needed.
Shortly later, someone would ask to use an LPP that wasn't on the system.
After installing, then the PTFS had be applied, which usually took an IPL,
argh.

Long story short, from the Boy Scout motto "Be Prepared" which means you
are always in a state of readiness in mind and body to do your DUTY

So now, just about all LPP get installed.

Why "should" you? Are you using them all? Are you setting yourself up as
a consultant and want your own master set to be able to serve anyone you
come across?

Rob,

I just discovered an updated V7R3 Media labels and their contents
I1199181.
I was previously looking at V7R3Media labels and their contents I1199180.

Found these additional media downloads that I probably should add to my
image catalog.

Rob,

My bad, missed that.

V7R3 image catalog built, simpler than V7R1/V7R2.
Below is the list.
Any thing missing?
Not using or planning to use Web Query or Zend, so not including these
two.

According to
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_73/
rzahc/rzahcswsmedialabel.htm

5733-OPS would be on B_GROUPx_04

At ESS 5733-XT2 is listed right there on the first page.

At ESS it doesn't list OPS but I'm guessing if you expand
5770-SS1
and then expand
5837: i7.3 B_GROUP1 v07.03.00,ENU,DVD
it's probably in
B_GROUP1_04_IBM_i_RS_730-00
I'm basing that on the first link regarding "Media labels and their
contents".

I'm creating my image catalog for V7R3 i5/OS upgrade.
I'm not finding a V7R3 version for 5733OPS.
Do I use the same media download that I used for V7R1 and V7R2?
F_MULTI_NLV_110_IBM_i_Open_Source_Solutions_LCD8_2252_00.

Also, same issue for
5733XT1
5733XT2
XML_Toolkit_for_IBM_System_i5__05-09-08

It appears though, that these are no longer used, may simply remove from
system and not include in V7R3 upgrade.

Thank You
