That sounds like the wrong feature codes. There are a couple of different memory features and not all of them work on all 8202s.

Also check to be sure you don't need four of he same type in the correct slots, there are specific rules about feature codes and locations.

Possible coincidence? Did you have any PTF's scheduled to go on at IPL
time? I recently had a firmware update which caused an issue at IPL time.
One card had really old card firmware incompatible with newer FSP
firmware. Had to replace the card.

As far as what to do...

the system had 2 4GB memory sticks. In slots 6 and 8. I pulled out the
memory card, added 2 more 4GB sticks in slots 5 and 7. Restarted.

The system fans would not quiet down. Get a B150 B10C. Remove those two
new sticks and I still get the B150 B10C.

what to do?
