Re: Migrating extant system to new hardware

You can either do the NFS route from p6 to p8, or from hosting lpar on P8
to guest lpar on P8.
If you have the disk space on your P6 to store the entire system again,
but in an image catalog, that might be the way to go. Give that a try
first.

You might have to use your DVD as "an alternate IPL device" to get into
DST.

Most of the steps I have on how to configure it deal with creating the
virtual ethernet across the backplane. Might be easier if you're not
doing that. (Not near as fast or secure though.)
