Just my opinion, but that's about as bad as hardcoding the IP address.
Do you have a DNS server(s) set up that you could use instead so you can
use a host name that is resolved through DNS?
That way if the IP changes you won't be scrambling to figure out why it's
not working, only to find it's your host table entry that has the wrong IP
address.
If you do, CFGTCP option 12 allows you to enter DNS servers.
Just a thought. :)
