It sounds to me like you're both on the right track.

Now, in the case of our own production box, we have QBASE active; it has
no workstation name entries, and workstation type entries for *CONS,
5555, and *ALL. Our V4R4 development box (also QBASE) has *CONS and
*ALL. One customer box that we can readily access uses QINTER/QBATCH,
and its QINTER has *CONS, 5555, and *ALL.

Now, assuming I can somehow get at this new customer box via a
GoToMeeting session, or that I can get them to send me what they're
getting, what am I looking for?
