We use the QCDRCMDI api in a program that adopts QSECOFR without a problem ... we don't specifically use the 'created by user' field however, but all the data that we do use comes through without a problem.

Are you 100% sure the the data structure you are passing is correct? We copy in 'QSYSINC/QRPGLESRC,QCDRCMDI' and use the QCDI0100 structure (assuming it's being invoked by an RPG program).
